Consultant Histopathologist

We are looking to appoint up to 3 FTE Consultant Histopathologists with an interest in with an interest in Dermatopathology, Gynae, Uropathology & Haematopathology. Any other areas of subspecialist practice can be accommodated. We envisage the posts will be primarily based at Sheffield but there may be to support to services at Doncaster or Rotherham pending our laboratory consolidation. The Consultant staff of the Histopathology Department are organised into subspecialist reporting teams. Our consultants typically practice in 1 - 3 subspecialist areas of practice in line with their interests and with the needs of the department. Direct Clinical Care (DCC) work includes appropriate dissection, histology and cytology reporting, and MDT preparation and delivery. Located on rolling hills and dissected by river valleys, Sheffield is one if the greenest and most wooded cities in Europe. More than a third of the city lies inside the beautiful Peak District National Park, and it is virtually surrounded by open countryside.
