Data methodology

What Reworkin data is, where it comes from, and where it stops

Reworkin treats sponsor data as a public research product. That means surfacing sources, refresh timing, methodology, and limits instead of hiding them.

Public standard

The methodology is designed to show source layers, refresh cadence, scoring intent, and known blind spots without hiding the tradeoffs.

Source layers

Reworkin’s sponsor dataset starts with the UK Home Office sponsor register mirror. That provides the public employer list that powers sponsor verification, sponsor profile pages, and city and industry clusters.

Reworkin then enriches sponsor records with Companies House data where a reliable match exists. Public content and tools also cite GOV.UK visa rules and other official sources directly inside the page.

Sponsor Score methodology

Sponsor Score is a research heuristic, not a legal judgement. The current formula weights licence rating, years tracked, employer size, route breadth, and active job signals. A representative mid-to-large A-rated employer in the current formula lands around 64/100.

What the score is for

Sponsor Score helps compare employers inside a shortlist. It is not proof that a sponsor will hire for your role, pay enough, or fit your route. The score is one research signal inside a wider decision workflow.

What Reworkin does not claim

Reworkin does not provide immigration advice, legal representation, or guarantees about outcomes. Sponsor status, salary fit, and route fit still need to be verified against the current official rules and your specific circumstances.

Data limits

  • Licence presence does not prove a live vacancy or route fit.
  • Companies House enrichment appears only when a reliable match is available.
  • Salary and route tools are screening aids, not substitutes for official guidance.
  • Visa statistics are shown only when a relevant period is loaded and cited.
